Volunteer With Us

Give your time. Share your skills. Change a life.

Join Mayambala Orphanage Centre and turn travel into purpose. Our volunteer program brings visitors from around the world to teach, build, play, and mentor while experiencing the warmth and beauty of Uganda. Whether you can give a week or several months, your time with us creates lasting change for children and families.

Why volunteer with Mayambala?

  • Meaningful impact: Your presence funds and strengthens our daily programs from education to health care and creates personal relationships that last.

  • Shared learning: Volunteers learn local skills, culture, and community life while sharing their own abilities and experiences.

  • Sustainable focus: We match volunteer skills to long-term projects so your contribution continues to benefit children and families after you leave.

  • Safe, supported experience: Our team provides in-country orientation, local transport, and a volunteer coordinator to guide your stay.

What drives us (our motivation)

We were founded from lived experience a story of compassion turned into action. What drives us is the belief that every child deserves a safe home, quality education, and the chance to dream. Volunteers bring energy, new ideas, and practical help that amplify our programs and help children feel seen, supported, and encouraged. Your time with us is a direct investment in that vision.
